Welcome
After an 8 month battle with ALS, Chris passed away on August 9th. On behalf of Christopher and Amy, we would like to thank everyone for their continued support through cards, flowers, donations and especially thoughts and prayers. It has been a very difficult month and Amy is taking it one day at a time. She and Christopher have moved in with her parents and are settling into a new normal. As always please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. On a side note all fundraising events scheduled for the month of September are still taking place.
This site is a collaboration of friends and family supporting Amy Kee Stone, Chris Stone, & their child Christopher Stone 1 ½.
In December, Amy, her 35 year old husband Chris, & their young son Christopher were
given news that would change their lives forever. Chris Stone was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. This progressive neurodegenerative disease has attacked the muscles in his legs and as it progresses, has continued to weaken most of the systems in his body. Every aspect of their lives has changed drastically as a result of this insidious disease. Their family continues to be live with this disease and prepare for the unknown, since there is no cure for ALS.
Chris’ primary job was to install garage doors along side his father in their family business. He once was an avid Skier, hiker and hunter. Chris is no longer able to work and uses the assistance of a wheel chair to get around. This has progressed so quickly that his dependency on others as well as the needs of his primary Caretaker, his wife Amy, have changed tremendously.
Family and friends have provided great support for the Stone Family.
Each day bring new challenges both financially and physically for the family. Amy continues to work full time, while trying to be a caretaker, along with a mother, to their young son Christopher.
We must continue to bring support and hope to this special family. We are thankful for all of the support that has been given to the Stone family and the strength that it has given Amy & Chris through this trying time. We hope this website can bring family and friends together to help combine all of the energy and to produce the most out of all the available resources. We hope that the lives of Amy, Chris, & Christopher can continue to be peaceful and as fulfilling as possible.
Thank you so much for helping The Christopher Stone Fund
